Seniors & Special Needs

Sometimes a cat in our program is found to be unadoptable, or has special needs that make them more difficult to find a home for.  Because we make a lifetime commitment to our rescued cats, we support them for life, or until they find a home that will take them on despite their "special needs" or issues.  These cats might not be the most adoptable, but we love them! Some may be senior citizens or have behavioral issues, and some may require expensive surgery with long-term medical maintenance. SOS cats are living in Rescue, or long term foster homes . We take them to our vets. We pay the bills. Many ARE available for adoption if we can just find the right home with a giant heart and a gentle touch! Can we count on you to sponsor or adopt one of these deserving cats?

Peg - Spayed Female 1-2 y/o Tortie-Point Himalayan
Peg was rescued by her foster mother minutes before she was to be euthanized at the shelter where she was dumped in their drop box. She has had a tough life, but is resilient. Peg is looking for a very special mom and/or dad who will provide the security and stability she needs to feel safe. With a patient family, Peg will grow in leaps and bounds and show her appreciation for being given a chance with immense love. Peg is deaf and will do best as the only cat. Call Pat at 925-838-1838.

Abby - Spayed Female 4 y/o White Exotic Shorthair Mix

Abby is doing great these days, especially when you consider Wanda literally saved her from being euthanized.  Abby is sweet. She needs a quiet home and a family who is patient and experienced with cats.  UPDATE FEB 08:  Abby is in love with Dasher, our Exotic Shorthair!  We've never seen her take to one of the other cats like this!
